Jesus' life, among many good things, reveals to the world who God the Father is.
Scripture says in Colossians that Christ is God in the flesh. Jesus says that this means that he is qualified to tell you who God is because He is God the Son. And only God the Son truly knows who God the Father is.
Matthew 11:27 says "My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him."
And Colossians 1:15 says 'Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation.'
So, Christ is at the forefront of all of creation. He is not only a reflection of God, but he is God and reveals what God the Father is like. And Christ has revealed that he has all power and authority because through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. Colossians 1:16
But, the world refuses to believe that Christ is the living Son of God and is God himself. Some will give him the title of prophet so that they can continue living their way of life and in disobedience. However, Christ says that He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. In other words, Christ ought to be the focus of life because, importantly, he has the power to put people into heaven for eternal life with God or hell with eternal damnation separated from God.
And because the Gospel has been or is being revealed to the whole world, at judgement day, the world will not have any excuse for not choosing Christ. For God says this in Romans 1:18:
"But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God."
In fact, the people who do not accept the grace of Jesus Christ today, will be worse off than the old wicked cities of the Bible (those that have not seen or heard the Gospel of Jesus). Jesus told the cities of Korazin and Bethsaida and Capernaum that they would be worse off than Tyre and Sidon and even Sodom in Matthew 11:21-24. Why? Because Jesus says that if those wicked cities had heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ like Korazin and Bethsaida had heard from Jesus in the flesh, then they would have long ago repented of their sins. If you have heard the Gospel of Jesus and rejected it, you are in the same position as Bethsaida and Capernaum.
But the world knows that God exists. The world sees evidence of it right in front of its face that God exists because they see the excellence in his creation. The Bible calls it 'invisible qualities' in Romans 1:20. But God says that the world will not face reality and worship the one true God and also will not give him thanks for the things that God has done. But instead, the world continues to believe its own made up lies about who God is.
One thing that the world must realize is that if it continues to deny God, then God gives them over to their own reprobate mind. In other words, as a person continues to deny the Lord, their ability to know the Lord truly gets more and more less likely. Jesus says in Matthew 11:25, that those that think themselves wise and clever, will have the truth about God hidden from them. Again, they are given over to their own reprobate minds as a result of not listening to what is clearly right in front of their eyes.
But, because of the grace of Jesus, it's still not too late for peoples of this world to know God. Sin is rampant everywhere, but God holds the answer for sin and even death. The answer is Jesus Christ. The Good News is that if you are still breathing, you can still trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior. If you hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it's important that you choose Jesus today. Don't wait. Tomorrow may be too late.
